Why are some “wiser” than others?

God grants wisdom.

It’s not just in pursuit of higher education.  We pursue knowledge and may even get ‘diplomas” of post graduate studies as proof that we have completed the pursuit of man-made degrees.

But wisdom?

There are a lot of people who are highly educated but are lacking in wisdom.  The “intellectuals or the intelligents” – who may have a “head knowledge” of God, but not a “heart knowledge” of God.

Lacking in Godly wisdom.

Because they do not know God.  The provider of wisdom.

Here’s a verse:

3 “And thou shalt speak unto all that are wise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron’s garments to consecrate him, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office. “ – .The Priests’ Garments – (Exodus 28:1-43) KJV

.
Seek God, know God, believe in God, then ask for this gift – the gift of the spirit of wisdom.

Often, we “have not” because we “ask not”.

It is in God’s Will that His people do not become foolish, and foolishness is just the absence of wisdom. And the presence of sin.

Pray for Godly wisdom to help guide you in your thoughts, words, and actions, and use this gift for His glory.

    “1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

    2 See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah:

    3 And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,

    4 To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,

    5 And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.

    6 And I, behold, I have given with him Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all that are wise hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded thee;

    7 The tabernacle of the congregation, and the ark of the testimony, and the mercy seat that is thereupon, and all the furniture of the tabernacle,

    8 And the table and his furniture, and the pure candlestick with all his furniture, and the altar of incense,

    9 And the altar of burnt offering with all his furniture, and the laver and his foot,

    10 And the cloths of service, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest’s office,

    11 And the anointing oil, and sweet incense for the holy place: according to all that I have commanded thee shall they do.” – Oholiab and Bezalel – (Exodus 31:1-18) KJV

    The phrase “God-Given Skills” has its biblical roots.

    Yes, God’s gives wisdom and skills!

    30 And Moses said unto the children of Israel, See, the Lord hath called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah;

    31 And He hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship;

    32 And to devise curious works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,

    33 And in the cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of wood, to make any manner of cunning work.

    34 And He hath put in his heart that he may teach, both he, and Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan.

    35 Them hath He filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of work, of the engraver, and of the cunning workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of those that devise cunning work. – Construction of the Tabernacle – (Exodus 35:30-35) KJV
