FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to Register?

No.  You don’t have to register.  You can if you want to.  Either way, you can just read the Forum Topics.  Most of the topics in the forum are “public”.  Some topics can be tagged as “private” and only viewable to the author.  You can toggle between “private” or “public” posts.

What are the benefits to registering here in the site?

You can write “Christian-related” forum topics.

You can leave comments in the forum topics.

You can participate in the “Group Chat” that is only visible to logged in members. Chat sessions are automatically erased every hour, on the hour.  No data on these chat sessions are stored on any database.  We don’t use any trackers that record computer screens, (I have seen two online “churches” do that – you can also notice that when you have a “Do Not Track” setting on your web browser, the codes and scripts will prompt you when these types of sites store those cookies on your device).  It’s good practice to always “delete browser cookies”.

What’s the chat system for?

We can use this chat system  that is hosted in our webhost servers (not an outside server), as a means to communicate, pray for each other.

My goal for that chat system also, is so that other Christian groups can use it, if they need to pray with each other and looking for a free platform that can do that without sacrificing privacy.  (FYI, a whole lot of portals store “chat sessions” in third party companies, which also store third party cookies on a person’s device, and chat sessions are stored in third-party databases).

The chat system here does NOT store chat sessions.  I’ve configured it that way to automatically erase, every hour on the hour.

Why don’t you just create and use an FB Group?

For others who use it for convenience, that’s great for them.  For us though, if you have your own Forum (FB is like one whole big forum), you can have more peace of mind, that your own Forum is actually a safe place.  You can stay “on topic”, without the distraction of advertisements and newsfeeds.  There’s an option to make topics “private” and only viewable to the author.

Chats on this forum are automatically erased.  You can’t do that on an FB group.  The Private Messaging is not really private, since it’s all logged and stored on their databases. (Sadly, anyone who knows how to extract information about FB users, can and do.  Advertisers on FB are knowledgeable about how to “target” specific audiences, you can view how in the FB “How to” for advertisers).

If you join this forum, or if you participate in chat, on your laptop or mobile phone, we don’t “automatically load” all of your contacts, we don’t need to access your camera, microphone, or pictures folder.  Like MOST apps do.

As an I.T. person, I have been so disgruntled with all the snooping, so I built something simple and useful.  In-house.  🙂

Can I use your site on my phone?  Is it mobile-friendly?

Yes, I designed this site to be mobile-friendly, using Responsive Web Design (RWD) principles.  So, you can also use the “group chat” on your phone or mobile device, without downloading any app.  You just need an internet connection and go to our secure website.  (Make sure you are on an https:// and not just http:)

Do you ask for donations? Or Membership Fees?

No.  We don’t charge Membership Fees.  Membership is open ONLY to Christians.  The website is open to Everyone (except spammers, or those I have personally banned from even viewing this website).  And No, we don’t ask for donations.  If you have money to give, give it directly to someone in need. 🙂

Who takes care of the expenses for this website?

God does.  🙂 It doesn’t really cost much if you know tech work.  There’s a whole lot of open-source software that you can tweak and put together.

Are you a charitable organization or a non-profit organization?

No and no.  Even Jesus paid taxes.

Do you sell anything here?

No.  ChristianLifeGroups.com is not selling and will not be selling anything.  God’s blessings are NOT FOR SALE.

Also, no member will be allowed to sell anything here, or link out to sell anything.  We will ban those who do, or those who try to “recruit” anybody or any member here into ANY MLM. Each post has a “Report” link.  Let’s keep the forum safe and exclusive to what would “grow our faith”, and not “grow someone else’s bank account”.

Jesus commanded this to ALL of His Disciples / Followers of Christ:

6 but rather go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

7 And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’

8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons.

Freely you received, freely give.

9 Do not acquire gold, or silver, or copper for your money belts,

10 or a bag for your journey, or even two coats, or sandals, or a staff;

for the worker is worthy of his support.

.

Some pastors, preachers, teachers who “monetize” God’s Word are false prophets / teachers who “make money off of” Christ’s flock, that He purchased with His Blood.   You can go to youtube and type “rich pastors” in the search field,  and see how other Christians are calling out these people deceiving other people.  That’s why Jesus warned all of us:

15 “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits.”Matthew 7-15-16

.

Why do you use the New American Standard Bible (NASB) in this website’s “Bible Study” for the New Testament?

I prayed about which one to use.  “The NASB is an original translation from the Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts”.   I personally also use the NASB, and I buy these bibles as well, for when I do my own little Bible Ministry Distribution.  🙂  I encourage those who also want to distribute bibles to purchase it in bulk, so your money can buy more bibles.  (When I started I would buy the bibles from bookstores, which is more expensive, until I discovered I can buy it cheaper in bulk).  The Lockman Foundation have links on their page on how to purchase in bulk.

But when I got born again many years ago, I’ve only used the King James Version (KJV) for the New and Old Testament, that’s what I’m using here on this website, with some quotes from NASB as well.  These posts have been published on the forum at different times as well.

Security of the One Who Trusts in the Lord.

1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!”

3 For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper And from the deadly pestilence.

4 He will cover you with His pinions, And under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.

    5 You will not be afraid of the terror by night, Or of the arrow that flies by day;

6 Of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, Or of the destruction that lays waste at noon.

7 A thousand may fall at your side And ten thousand at your right hand, But it shall not approach you.

8 You will only look on with your eyes And see the recompense of the wicked.

9 For you have made the Lord, my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place.

10 No evil will befall you, Nor will any plague come near your tent.

11 For He will give His angels charge concerning you, To guard you in all your ways.

12 They will bear you up in their hands, That you do not strike your foot against a stone.

13 You will tread upon the lion and cobra, The young lion and the serpent you will trample down.

14 “Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My Name.

15 “He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.

16 “With a long life I will satisfy him And let him see My salvation.”

    Psalm 91 – (NASB)

I have temporarily disabled “Registration” to this website again, for now.  As I am having to pray about the direction of several website portals that I am a Administrator of.

The evil in technology attacks on the internet, is as real as the screenshots I can take.

And I can only post screenshots, to give you an idea what people like me see, and how overwhelming it could be too.

I published an article about it (a rant) on another website, where I felt led and then decided to start publishing the IP addresses of the top nine hackers who are attempting to hack the sites that I have administrator accesses and permission levels to.  These types of evil in technology really pushes women techies out of the internet.  Or at least they attempt to.

It scares me yes, but, I rest in the Lord and His strength.  Not mine.  Because I also get tired.

I will shed light on what these types of people do.  (Also would serve as good documentation and it will be easier, when reported, to simply just share the link to the specific article).

I pray that as they attempt to hack this website, too?  I pray they READ what’s written here.

    Especially the Gospels.

    https://www.christianlifegroups.com/links-to-scripture-by-topic-book-of-matthew/

And they (these highly skilled techies, who use their skills for evil, attacking someone like me, a Christ-Follower techie) these hackers can be like the apostle Paul, who used to persecute Christians, and then Jesus made Himself known to Paul ( who used to called Saul – here’s the link to the story)…

… “Why are you persecuting me?” The Lord Christ said.  And then Paul had instantaneous blindness.

I have had enough of the hacking attempts, you know.

So I turn you all over to God.

Because if you are persecuting Christ-followers, people like me, you are also persecuting Jesus Christ.

    Because I am HIS!

I am a daughter of the Lord God through Jesus Christ’ saving grace.

My decision to close registrations to the portals where there are registrations is a way to protect member information.

Because if other members contact details get compromised through a data breach, the message of this website will go all over the place and cause confusion.

I serve a God of clarity.

So when there is confusion and discord, one just has to simply recognize that this is all a spiritual warfare.

So for  now, I consciously put on the Full Armor of God, as I battle through all of this.

I have security in place so that even if these hackers can get through, they will not be able to abuse anybody’s private data.  Except us admins.

I’m not going to publish how I do that.  🙂

But I will publish on the next post, MY BEST SECURITY PLAN that NEVER fails.  🙂

So for now, May 4, 2020, I will just manually create accounts for people who know my mobile phone number.  They can send me a text message there, or call me, and I will create an account for them. I strongly recommend the Signal dot org app, in sending me text messages and media files.

That’s the fastest way to become a member of this forum for now, if you want to be able to publish topics or respond to posts.

All the other members (who are already registered) can log in and log out as usual.

Security of Those Who Trust in the Lord, and Insecurity of the Wicked.
    A Psalm of David.

“37 Do not fret because of evildoers, Be not envious toward wrongdoers.

2 For they will wither quickly like the grass And fade like the green herb.

3 Trust in the Lord and do good; Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.

4 Delight yourself in the Lord; And He will give you the desires of your heart.

5 Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, and He will do it.

6 He will bring forth your righteousness as the light And your judgment as the noonday.

7 Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who carries out wicked schemes.

8 Cease from anger and forsake wrath; Do not fret; it leads only to evildoing.

9 For evildoers will be cut off,  But those who wait for the Lord, they will inherit the land.

10 Yet a little while and the wicked man will be no more; And you will look carefully for his place and he will not be there.

11 But the humble will inherit the land And will delight themselves in abundant prosperity.

12 The wicked plots against the righteous And gnashes at him with his teeth.

13 The Lord laughs at him, For He sees his day is coming.

14 The wicked have drawn the sword and bent their bow To cast down the afflicted and the needy, To slay those who are upright in conduct.

15 Their sword will enter their own heart, And their bows will be broken.

16 Better is the little of the righteous Than the abundance of many wicked.

17 For the arms of the wicked will be broken, But the Lord sustains the righteous.

18 The Lord knows the days of the blameless, And their inheritance will be forever.

19 They will not be ashamed in the time of evil, And in the days of famine they will have abundance.

20 But the wicked will perish; And the enemies of the Lord will be like the glory of the pastures, They vanish—like smoke they vanish away.

21 The wicked borrows and does not pay back, But the righteous is gracious and gives.

22 For those blessed by Him will inherit the land, But those cursed by Him will be cut off.

23 The steps of a man are established by the Lord, And He delights in his way.

24 When he falls, he will not be hurled headlong, Because the Lord is the One who holds his hand.

25 I have been young and now I am old, Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken Or his descendants begging bread.

26 All day long he is gracious and lends, And his descendants are a blessing.

27 Depart from evil and do good, So you will abide forever.

28 For the Lord loves justice And does not forsake His godly ones; They are preserved forever, But the descendants of the wicked will be cut off.

29 The righteous will inherit the land And dwell in it forever.

30 The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom, And his tongue speaks justice.

31 The law of his God is in his heart; His steps do not slip.

32 The wicked spies upon the righteous And seeks to kill him.

33 The Lord will not leave him in his hand Or let him be condemned when he is judged.

34 Wait for the Lord and keep His way, And He will exalt you to inherit the land; When the wicked are cut off, you will see it.

35 I have seen a wicked, violent man Spreading himself like a luxuriant tree in its native soil.

36 Then he passed away, and lo, he was no more; I sought for him, but he could not be found.

37 Mark the blameless man, and behold the upright; For the man of peace will have a posterity.

38 But transgressors will be altogether destroyed; The posterity of the wicked will be cut off.

39 But the salvation of the righteous is from the Lord; He is their strength in time of trouble.

40 The Lord helps them and delivers them; He delivers them from the wicked and saves them, Because they take refuge in Him.”

    Psalm 37 – (NASB)

So Lord God, please forgive me for fretting.  😇

And thank you for Your promises of deliverance from evil.  Thank you for your clarity and allowing me and reminding me of the above scriptures.   Often, I feel like a lost sheep, and You Lord Jesus, You are my Good Shepherd.

    Thank you!

23 The Lord is my shepherd,
    I shall not want.

    2 He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside quiet waters.

    3 He restores my soul;
He guides me in the paths of righteousness
    For His Name’s sake.

4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
    I fear no evil, for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

    5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
    You have anointed my head with oil;
    My cup overflows.

6 Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

    Psalm 23 (NASB)
The Lord, the Psalmist’s Shepherd.  A Psalm of David.
