6) 2018 – Share Forums Page

The screenshots on these pages are DIFFERENT, the oldwebhost wiped out my original forum design and customizations, I went through my old CW Code Snippets, went to the Forum Developers’ Forum site, because I also published and shared a lot of my Custom design Code tweaks there, as I was trying to help other Forum Admins as well – those codes helped me too these days because I didn’t have to start from scratch, the screenshots on these pages, looked more like my original design, I didn’t want to tweak those so much knowing I will be moving to another newwebhost, and IF EVER I will do another forum, I will just do the design on the newwebhost server.

This was a separate WP Installation. The design looks somewhat like the old design, when I tried to rebuild, but thought, I’ll just also dissect and select which Forum posts would be turned into blog posts.

I laughed out loud when I saw the blunt note I wrote on the Tech Support forum … I wrote that because I got multiple “demands” from people who professed to be Christians into getting me to build or fix their website for free (as you see from these screenshotting-a-thon, it requires time, money (because if I volunteer, it means I can’t do or bill for actual tech work), expertise and was getting “guilted” (more like their manipulation attempt).

“I thought you are a Christ Follower? Why won’t you do this for me?

And my simple answer was, “I follow Christ, not you. As long as I have this (CLG) project going, which is taking years, all my tech work goes to this website because it’s my Digital Ministry. I don’t collect donations, everything here is free, you collect donations on your website, go hire a developer. I know that donations to NGOs goes to the salary of staff FIRST, so surely you would have a budget for a website developer”.

LOL! So I kept it up there so it’s clear and there’s no awkwardness. Brutal honesty. Because a lot of people mistake niceness for stupidity, and there is such a thing as Jesus’ warning – to be wise and discerning.

Don’t abandon the mission. 🙂
