Rebellion against God-appointed leaders

This is another story, that kind of sounds like present day governments.

Leaders fighting with other leaders.

Lower “leaders” fighting against “higher leaders”.

Remember, scripture teaches:

Be Subject to Government – (Romans 13:1-14)

So every single one in government, or in any position of leadership, has his or her responsibilities, not just “before man”, but most importantly, “before God” – who put them in those positions of leadership.

Sadly, rebellion happens – conflicts happen.  And more people suffer because of it.

Korah’s Rebellion – (Numbers 16:1-50) KJV

And it all started with lies.

Report of the Spies – (Numbers 13:25-33) KJV

which caused:

The People Rebel – (Numbers 14:1-12) KJV

So those people who start these lies against any leader, were punished.

These days, some of these liars may “seem to get away with their lies” – but this will not be so, because God will make sure that they do not go unpunished.

And history has a way of repeating itself, if we do not learn from God’s instructions to “not bear false witness”.
