Sabbath, is the “seventh day”.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
So Sunday is the seventh day?
OR
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday,
with Saturday as the Seventh day?
What did God say?
12 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
13 “Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you.
14 Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.
17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day He rested, and was refreshed.” – Oholiab and Bezalel – (Exodus 31:1-18) KJV
.
You can work for six consecutive days, but on your seventh day, that’s your sabbath and you need to rest and do nothing but rest, on that day. Because that seventh day is holy, and your seventh day spent doing nothing but rest, will refresh you for the coming days of work.
Man-made rules have made it in such a way that Sunday is considered a day of going to man-made church. Man-made churches, looking for volunteers, to get free-labor, as the church leaders rake in the money in form of tithes and offerings.
That’s not God’s church. And people who get misled into going to those types of establishments are praising some other god, or gods, and giving their money and funding satan’s church. And so the deception continues.
Christ instituted the “Church” – the Body of Christ. Christ’s church is not a building.
Christ’s church is a community of Believers and Christ Followers. It can be as “small as two”, and it doesn’t matter, for as long as Christ is in the midst of them.
19 “Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven.
20 For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.” – Matthew 18:15-20 (NASB)
