Ephesians, New Testament.
Book of Ephesians.
The Apostle Paul writes this letter to the church in Ephesus while imprisoned in Rome. Paul proclaims salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, not by good deeds, not by being a good person. There is to be unity among believers, made possible by the Holy Spirit. The church is the body of Christ, and Christ is the head of the church. Believers are to be imitators of God and to live in love under the control of the Holy Spirit. In that regard, Paul provides a number of admonitions and offers encouragement for setting a good Christian example in a variety of challenging situations.
